Hey there! I’m Shelly.
I’m a brand and lifestyle photographer based out of Seattle, WA. I named my company after my beloved husky, Dakota. I’m always up for a hike that ends with pizza. And I love helping amazing women tell their story through photography.
In 2015, I threw off the corporate shackles to live all over the world and find a career I really care about. I found photography, and more than that, I found brand photography. To top it off, in 2019, before moving to the beautiful PNW, I won the award for Best Photographer in Austin!

What’s the difference between a lifestyle session and a brand session?
Lifestyle sessions are less involved - it’s more of a traditional portrait session where we will choose a location, show up and shoot!
Brand sessions include planning and strategy for your photoshoot. I’ll help you identify what kinds of photos will help you stand out and capture clients, help you choose a location to fit your needs, and assist with wardrobe and prop selection.
Brand sessions are ideal for clients who run their own business and need photos for advertising, social media, or to update their website with. Brand sessions also include commercial usage rights and the ability to further edit your photos to suit your aesthetic.
How will I receive my files?
All files are delivered digitally via an online gallery within 1-2 weeks. For both blogger and brand sessions, you will be able to select your favorites from all of the RAW (un-edited) images taken during your session for me to then edit.
How do I book?
Contact me here to schedule your session! Please note that I require 50% retainer down to hold your session. This can be done via credit card or debit card via an online system. Nothing is booked and your spot will not be held until the retainer is paid.
